Tip: Do Not Use Water to Clean Roomba
Roomba contains electronic parts. Do NOT submerge Roomba or spray with water. Clean with a dry cloth only.

Tip: Consult Your Floor Manufacturer
Always consult your floor manufacturer for approved cleaning methods.

Tip: Storing Roomba
Always store Roomba connected to its charger or Home Base.

Tip: Inspect and Clean Regularly
Keep wheels and brush free of hair and debris by inspecting and cleaning the bottom of the robot regularly.

Tip: Clear Your Floor
For fastest cleaning and best performance, clear your floor of clutter and use a Virtual Wall to confine Roomba to one room.

Tip: Elevate Wires and Hide Rug Tassles
Wires should be elevated off the floor and rug tassles should be tucked under the rug to prevent Roomba from getting stuck

Tip: Keep the Battery Charging
Keep the battery charging at all times unless in use.

Tip: Long-Term Storage
If Roomba is not going to be used for an extended period of time, charge the battery first and then take the battery out of Roomba and store it separately in a cool place.

Tip: Check the Lights
When Roomba is on the Home Base, always make sure that the Home Base Power and Docked lights are on.

Tip: Using Virtual Walls
Use the Virtual Walls to block doorways or to keep Roomba away from cords. Confining Roomba to a single room will accelerate cleaning. For best performance, place the Virtual Wall on the outside of the doorway you wish to block. Set the Virtual Wall to the shortest setting possible to extend battery life.

Tip: Direct Roomba to its Home Base
You can use the remote to direct Roomba to the Home Base. Once Roomba is in range and can "see" the Home Base, it will return to the base and dock itself automatically.

Tip: Clear the Schedule
You can clear the schedule from the scheduling Virtual Wall and Roomba by removing their batteries, or by deleting all cleaning times from the remote and re-sending the cleared schedule to the scheduling Virtual Walls.

Tip: Empty the Bin
Bin emptying and brush cleaning should be done after every 3-5 cleaning cycles depending on the amount of hair, dirt and debris in your environment.

Tip: Clean the Charging Contacts
If you notice that Roomba is sitting on its Home Base and the Power light is not illuminated, clean the charging contacts on the bottom of the robot.
